My children are young, so thinking about paying for college seems so...premature...and yet, I already have 529s for both of them. (I'm a Type-A if you hadn't noticed.) College is expensive - and not just the pizza and beer soda budget. Unless you already know your child is a star athlete (and you can somehow guarantee no injuries) that will receive a full-ride scholarship, college tuition planning is a must.
